Hi there!

We have big news! We’re having a baby! It’s our first and no, it wasn’t planned.

Emma and I are really thrilled and we’re looking forward to a fantastic adventure together.That’s why we put this site together, so we can share our joy (and fears) with our family and friends while we try to figure it all out. It’s also a bit of a diary for us; a way to tell each other some of the things we might not have the courage to say face to face. There will also be fun and giggles as the new parents make mistakes that all new parents make. The best laid plans of mice and men…

If you know us personally then please be aware that the stuff you write on here is open to the public, so don’t go too crazy with the specifics. To those of you who are just browsing through, it’s just another weblog, I’m sure you know what you are doing.

Here are some things I can tell you though:

• He’s 34, She’s 26.
• Each has two arms, two legs and the usual accompaniment of organs, glands and other paraphernalia generally associated with being healthy human beings.
• We don’t live together, but we will soon enough.
• I have cats (Yes, we know about Toxoplasmosis and have stopped frolicking in the kitty litter)
• Neither of us smokes
• He’s a bit Buddhist, She’s a bit Catholic. There is more to it than that, though.

So, that about covers it for now, I hope you enjoy our updates and will continue to share our excitement as we become loving parents to the perfect offspring we undoubtedly will produce.

HA!

But seriously, please have fun watching us grow and figure out what works for us. It’s going to be a rollercoaster ride into the future!
