This is going to sound silly but lately I have been feeling much more like a girl. I have always been a bit of a tomboy. I usually live in my jeans and thongs, I don’t really wear make-up, even my underwear is as Ben puts it ‘utalitarian’, but lately that has started to change.
I had to buy new underwear. As Sarah so eloquently put it my boobs are getting ginormous. I’m only eight weeks in and I have gone up a cup size meaning all but one bra I own fits. According to one book I read they can grow as much as three cup sizes- dear Lord please don’t let that happen.
I worked a lot last week and had some extra money so I went off to Myer and Target and bought myself six sets of matching, very girly underwear. It is amazing what a change this has had. for one the underwear actually fits so I am comfortable, and two it is just really pretty and as silly as it sounds I feel pretty in it.
I’ve also had a problem with clothes. My beloved jeans don’t fit and my shorts are getting tighter every day. I own dresses but have always used them as my last option, now though I am finding not only do I prefer to wear a dress because it is cool and comfortable but I also feel a lot more feminine in them and that is making all the difference.
I also bought three new dresses which I will be able to wear right through my pregnancy. They are very pretty and functional and I feel so different when I wear them.
Feeling different at the moment is amazing. I have things changing physically inside and out and also mentally. I’m beginning to see myself in a more positive light and it feels amazing.
